Rural Roots Florists and Barnyard Creations opened for business at 4902 A – 50 Avenue in Vermilion on August 20. The new shop offers fresh and silk flower arrangements, engraving, embroidery, heat pressing, and promotional items. Brenda Goad worked at Lakeland Country Florists for 26 years; and along with her family, they have been engraving items for the past three years. A range of products found in the store can be used as gifts, business advertising, etc. “The possibilities are endless! Customers can come in with any idea, and we can engrave it on wood, metal, plastic, glass, or leather. People also have the option to bring their own items to be engraved or embroidered. I also like that flowers have the ability to make people happy no matter what the occasion,” said Brenda Goad. Goad has sent engraving all over Canada and some to the United States, and she mentioned that flower orders can be wired anywhere. Rural Roots Florists plans to deliver to Vermilion, Mannville, Clandonald, Dewberry, and Islay. The staff is eager to continue serving the community with their flower, household, giftware, indoor, outdoor, clothing, and travel needs. “We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to our new shop,” said Brenda Goad.
