Vermilion & District Housing Foundation CAO - Paul Kim

The Vermilion & District Housing Foundation welcomed new CAO, Paul Kim, at the Vermilion Valley Lodge on November 19.

Kim was eager to begin his new position, and experience life in Vermilion. His experience includes four years in senior retirement living, and 22 years in hotel management.

“My background is very diverse; bringing a lot of experience from both the backline and the frontline including food, laundry, maintenance, construction, and project management. My diverse business portfolio includes overseeing a five star hotel and resort, oil and gas, and health care in the communities of Ponoka; Camrose; and Cranbrook, British Columbia,” said Kim.

Mayor Caroline McAuley welcomed Kim on his first day, and Kim looks forward to getting to know the residents and community members.

“Vermilion is a beautiful prairie town. I look forward to meeting everyone and becoming active and engaged in the community. I love the small town atmosphere,” said Kim.

Kim is especially looking forward to taking great care of the senior’s in Vermilion and added, “I’ve always had a personal passion for sharing my years of experience, and delivering the qualities of customer service and resident centre care. In today’s world, people try to treat residents as a number instead of valuable business and community leaders. We want to remember and celebrate that along with providing them a long life of independence.”
