Sweets & Treats - Night Owl 1675 opened recently in Vermilion offering popcorn, ice cream, and candy at 5024 - 50 Avenue. Owners Dawn and Wade Woywitka are looking forward to making their store as inviting as possible offering people a place to sit and enjoy their treats or take them to go. “I love candy; it’s really exciting! It’s something we understand. I drive school bus, and enjoy working with children and families,” said Dawn Woywitka. Sweets & Treats will be supplying displays for weddings or birthdays and can cater school or community events. Their party candy rentals can include the jars, candy or both; and can include a cotton candy machine or a popcorn machine. They will also be able to create giftware for any occasion. Currently, they offer sweet and savory popcorn including caramel, blue raspberry, strawberry, sour cream and onion, dill, or salt and pepper. They have a grand selection of Foothills Ice Cream with a variety of cones and toppings. Lastly, their growing selection of modern and traditional candy is impressive, ranging from bonbons to sponge toffee, drink crystals, chocolate and gummies. They are looking forward to bringing in several new items and serving the community. Guests had fun entering a draw by guessing the number of jelly beans in jars, and browsing the nostalgic candy and reminiscing from when they were children. “We have had a lot of really good feedback so far, and look forward to seeing everyone soon,” said Dawn Woywitka.
