After a two-year hiatus, the Vermilion Rotary Club Harvest Gala is making a triumphant return after being missed in 2021 due to COVID. It is said to be an evening of entertainment and community support and is scheduled for Saturday, November 4, at the Vermilion Regional Centre with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and supper at 6:30 p.m. The gala is a much-anticipated event in the local social calendar, as it has been a bi-annual fundraising event since 2011.
The gala is not only a night of agriculture celebration but also a powerful means of supporting the Rotary Club of Vermilion in its mission to serve the community. The Rotary Club has been an integral part of Vermilion’s fabric, contributing to various local initiatives and causes over the years. In the past 12 months the Rotary has donated over $40,000 to various community initiatives.
The evening will be a delightful blend of entertainment and camaraderie, including supper, dancing, and an unforgettable performance by award-winning Canadian comedian and comedy writer, Erica Sigurdson. A cash bar will keep your glasses full, while the silent and live auctions will provide an opportunity to bid on exciting items. Acclaimed Albertan musician Randi Bolton will provide live music to keep the atmosphere lively.
The gala aims to celebrate the agricultural industry, paying tribute to the hardworking individuals who contribute significantly to our community’s prosperity. It’s a night to come together, support local initiatives, and have a great time while doing so.
As an extra incentive, each ticket purchased qualifies for a chance to win a generous $1,500 cash prize, generously sponsored by RE/Max Prairie Realty. This added bonus makes attending the gala not only a fun experience but also a potentially lucrative one.
The Vermilion Rotary Club Harvest Gala is an opportunity for the community to come together, celebrate, and give back. Your participation in this event will contribute directly to the Rotary Club’s ability to continue serving the local community in various ways.
Mark your calendars for November 4 and secure your tickets early. This gala promises to be a night to remember, filled with laughter, music, dancing, and the satisfaction of knowing you’ve made a positive impact on the Vermilion community.
Tickets can be purchased for $75 per person, or you can opt for group bookings with tables of 8 available. To secure your tickets, visit Webb’s Machinery or contact Laurel at 780-581-0804.
