Chamber Of Commerce Hosts Business Connect

On March 30, the Vermilion Chamber of Commerce hosted a Business Connect event to allow members and local government to communicate and interact.

“Business Connect is also a way for us to teach members and non-members about the many benefits to Chamber Membership, such as the many discount programs that they can take advantage of,” said Chamber office manager Leanne Martin.

The two-hour meeting covered questions from attendees surrounding ACE water expansion in the county, ways to support local businesses, the challenges of balancing budgets, and construction updates. Questions were answered by various government officials such as MLA Garth Rowswell, Mayor Caroline McAuley, and County Reeve Lonnie Wolgien.

“I thought that the turnout was good for our first event, we had approximately 20 attendees,” Martin commented.

The Chamber’s Annual General Meeting will be on May 12. For more information on the Vermilion and District Chamber of Commerce visit VermilionAlbertaChamber.com.
