The Lakeland Rowing Club allows people to learn and enjoy rowing within the provincial park on the Vermilion River. People of all skills levels are welcome.

In June, Rowing Canada established COVID-19 guidelines, which allowed the Lakeland Rowing Club to continue. College rowers have been going since the second day of class.

The College rowers, aged 18 to 28, were able to begin rowing at the usual time of year with specific limits. The College crew was able to row but in a limited capacity, only rowing in singles, doubles and pairs and learn to rows - where we teach new rowers - could only happen in singles. The Row Club meets 4-6 times a week with 12 rowers.

Due to COVID-19, besides rowers only rowing in singles, equipment is sanitized after use, and the number of people in buildings is limited, and mask-wearing is enforced. There are no competitive events outside of the club this year.
