A new toy and picture framing store opened in Vermilion’s Lakeland Mall in Mid October called Picture This & That.
Store owner Cindy Hines is born and raised in Vermilion and held her grand opening on November 20.
The toy store boasts many types of toys from the Melissa & Doug toy line as well as an assortment of puzzles and crafts.
“We also do custom picture framing, vinyl work on trinkets and t-shirt printing,” said Hines.
In addition from items for sale Hines will be offering crafting classes a couple times a month and will be hosting Santa pictures by appointment and Santa letter drop-off.
Vermilion Town Mayor Caroline McAuley as well as Economic Development officer for the Town of Vermilion Mary Lee Prior were in attendance with Mayor McAuley presenting Hines with a thank you plaque.
“I’m so excited to see our business community continuing to grow in Vermilion,” said Mayor McAuley excitedly. She also went on to say that Hines was a recipient of support from the Retail Development Incentive Program from the Town.
“It is a huge support, and I very much appreciate it,” said Hines.
She also added that with COVID the biggest challenge is receiving her products as shipping has been very slow.
