The Good Life Institute and the Town of Vermilion hosted Savor, a tasting event featuring some of the best food and drink of the region, at the Vermilion Regional Centre the evening of November 17.
Local vendors offered bite-sized samples of food and beverages for one to three $3 tickets each. Scotch, beer, gingersnap cookies, cheese, samosas, baklava, charcuterie, crepes, tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwiches, and more were available for tasting. Guests had the option of dining at seated or standing tables. A wine tasting table challenged guests to a blind taste test with prizes involved. The atmosphere was elegant, with live piano music provided throughout the evening.
Coordinator of the Good Life Institute Paige Jaremco said, “I loved how the event went. I want to see more people come out and enjoy it! I want to fill the hall. Vendors come and support our town and I just want to see everyone support them. My goal is to get 100 more people out for next year. I’d like to thank all our sponsors for helping to make it happen. I look forward to next year’s already and can’t wait to put new ideas into action!”
