Vermilion Fire and Rescue were sent South of Vermilion on Highway 41 to a rural resident’s property in the early hours of the morning on April 23.
Upon arriving on scene, crews found a fully involved farm building on fire. Firefighters worked to contain the blaze and prevent further damage to nearby structures and grass.
“This call came in at midnight, which again shows the dedication of our volunteers. The fire investigation is complete and this fire is not suspicious,” commented Kirk Hughes, Director of Protective Services.
Fire crews remained on-scene until the early hours.
On May 3 at 9:03 a.m. Blackfoot Fire was toned out for a report of a vehicle on fire.
Crews arrived to a fully involved car fire. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and handed over control of the scene to the RCMP, as the fire is considered suspicious.
