Vermilion Curling Club Hosts Open Bonspiel

Family Day weekend saw the Vermilion Curling Club hosting an Open Bonspiel. Eighteen teams with curlers of all ages came to compete for first place in three events. With a dinner from Mrs. J’s catering on Saturday evening, and raffle prizes up for grabs, the weekend provided curlers with some fun visits and excellent curling to participate in.

Organizer Danielle Eriksen was pleased with the turnout and thankful to the local businesses who sponsored the raffle prizes and also to Cornerstone Co-op for donating snacks for teams on Friday evening.

The A Event winning team was the Swyripa Team. The Andrew McCrae Team took the B Event and the C Event Final was won by the Doug McCrae Team.
