It is time to get ready for spring and summer outdoor sports, and the Vermilion Soccer Association (VSA) is ready to get their 2022 season going. After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the VSA is in the process of planning a full soccer season starting with their Annual General Meeting on March 21.
Did you play soccer as a kid and want to keep your skills up? Or just have a passion for the sport and want to stay actively involved? Then volunteering to help on the pitch just might be suited for you. Like most youth sports groups, the VSA relies on volunteers to have a fun and successful season. This year Vermilion Soccer is looking for coaches of all age groups and members to sit on the executive. You don’t have to be a soccer parent to help out, community members are welcome to help too. VSA President Kristin Ward welcomes any interested volunteer who has a clean Vulnerable Sector Check, “All are welcome to the pitch!”
Registration for the season is already open, and forms are available on the Association’s Facebook page. You are welcome to hand in forms by email or in person at the AGM.
